Electrically-Heatable Glass

Electrically heatable glass is usually normal clear glass to which an electrically resistive conductive coating has been added to one face of the glass during the manufacturing process, which is then connected to an electrical input via "buss bars" resulting the glass being heated. These glasses are normally furnished as part of insulated multi-pane glass assemblies with the electrically charged surface of the glass facing inside the air gap to ensure it is electrically insulated from potential shock hazard.
